Description: Offered is an original and rather rare,1934-1939 Pan American Airways Pilot Hat Badge 2nd Issue. This badge measures 7/8" in diameter. The badge is gold plated brass with enameled accents. It is complete with the threaded post, both stabilization pins and, the screw-on disc fastener. As stated, this is the smaller 7/8" diameter hat badge that was used in the early days of the airline from 1934-1939 until the airline switched to the larger sized 1-1/2" diameter badge. I will not hesitate to say that this badge is in nice condition!
