Description: Up for sale is an incredible trophy for autograph collectors. This is a 1935-C $1 Silver Certificate courtesy autographed by John W. Snyder. This was printed in the first few minutes of production and was one of the first 1935-C notes to be printed. Snyder likely autographed this as a presentation piece to a politician or family. The very first 1935-C note serial numbered was K99996000D, and the first batch of 1200 notes up to K99997200D were kept as uncut sheets. There could only be 2800 possible K-D block notes printed for release which is extraordinarily rare to begin with, but most of the plates in the presses at the time were still 1935-B so likely there were much fewer. This note's serial would make it #161 after the uncut sheets, but considering the 1935-B notes still being churned out, this very well could be from the very first sheet or even the first note of 1935-C circulation notes, hence why it was pulled out and autographed. In any regard, I know of no other first day printed notes from this scarce K-D block that are autographed. A normal K-D block note lists for $200-$300 in CU due to its rarity. The note grades GEM CU in my opinion. Still as fresh as the day it was printed and signed. Great centering too. Please check pics and judge grade for yourself. Thanks for looking and have a great day!
