Description: Rare image of this vessel entering this port in, I believe, 1937. The vehicles shown seem to fit that date. It's a small photo but fairly clear. My close-ups are not as crisp as the actual image. Under magnification the numbers on the front of the submarine can be made out, though they are not sharp. Overall it's a nice shot with the vehicles in the foreground and historic buildings and fort behind it. This ship had an interesting history, being scuttled twice during world War II.
