Description: 1938 Russia Three Rubles Pick Number 214a Nice Very Fine Banknote For your World Currency Collection-PCU1986 Details Description: A nice very fine Banknote from Russia. This is the 1938 three Rubles. The banknote has dark green design on the front. The front depicts soldiers to the left and the Soviet Arms at the upper left with inscription in Cyrillic again in dark green with serial numbers in red. The back also has design and inscription in dark green over a multi-colored under-design. The banknote displays the date and the denomination on the front and only the denomination on the back. It has no signatures. This particular note has the serial number 627556 displayed twice in red on the front. It is series Zeta Delta, which is also displayed twice in red on the front. The paper of the note is thick and still retains considerable stiffness. The note has no water mark that we could find. This is a one-year issue banknote. Please carefully review the scans as they are part and parcel of our description. Date: 1938. Printer: Soviet Treasury. Size: The banknote measures 5 1/4" by 2 5/8". Pick Number: P 214a. Condition: I would grade this banknote as very fine with all the details being well preserved. This is an attractive note with evidence of handling and some wear. It does have a number of vertical folds and horizontal folds. It has general wrinkling and is fairly soiled. It does have some staining especially on the back. The note still retains some stiffness and does not display floppiness. The note has no tears and no splits. It does show general roughness along the edges but has no graffiti and no pinholes. The corners are intact with bumps and some rounding. Again, the note has several folds at the corners and some wrinkling but is in in good condition for such a low denomination note.
