Inc., Chicago" and dated "6-22-1938" as stated in small print at the bottom of the map. The map was published in LaSalle New Loose-Leaf Atlas of Traffic by the LaSalle Extension University, Chicago. Its a small size map that could be framed up nicely and economically, great for the hobbiest for use in shadow boxes or RR related display, albums, etc. The map is not mounted nor matted, being sold as a single map as seen in the main pic.Size: The entire page measures 7 1/2 by 11" (19x28cm) The Poole Brothers Incorporated (1880-1968) was founded by George Poole, whom had been one of the four co-founders of Rand, McNally & Co., which he left to form Poole Bros. Inc. with his brother William. The early business primarily focused on the railroad industry and its continuous need for a large supply of maps, tickets, coupons, menus, ads, etc. As the railroad industry grew, they quickly became the largest printing house in the US and almost every railroad used their printed maps and products in some compacity throughout the golden age of the US Railroad.Condition: Excellent, with a strong impression on a sturdy clean page, see the pics.
