Description: This really is a one of a kind collection that has been framedof one man's history as a self paying volunteer who attendedthe CMTC (Civilian Military Training Camp) that was held in1940 at the former Plattsburgh Army Barracks in Plattsburgh N.Y.from July 5th, to August 2nd of that year. This collage is 100% original and is part of Hadden Gray'spapers and photos that were found in the attic of an estatethis spring. One of the rare items in this is the actual armband mounted on the background. It is the exact one seen inthe photo of Mr. Gray. (See the photo with the arrow.) Note thatthe armband has the year, 1940 along with the Letter P" forthe camp at Plattsburgh, N.Y. One of the unique items is the actualreceipt he received for paying for the privilege to attend this camp!Patriotism was alive and well! Many of the men who volunteered to be part of what became the greatestgeneration had their start at these CMTC camps. To have a rare framedcollection of one mans history is unique. You will notice the name tagseen in one of the photos is the same one that was used to identify thesolider mounted to the front of this frame.Dimensions are 32" wide and 19" tall. The frame shows wear butoverall is solid. The glass is free of damage. On the rear is a piece clipped from his local newspaper by a family membershowing his Obituary in1953.
