Description: This is a black and white photographic print of the Grotto of the Nativity in Bethlehem that was made into a postcard that was never used. It is not dated but is marked that it was made in Palestine. This item was from a soldier named Bill Addleman to his future wife Flo. They were one of my daughter in law's grandparents who passed away a few years back and I'm listing some of the items which he kept from his time served during World War Two. It's mainly ephemera from his times on leave in 1943 and '44 where he visited Egypt, Jerusalem and India. Several of the items reference Palestine as this was before Israel was formed and I thought that this was a poignant time to put these on and see if there's any interest in the historical context. Thank you for taking a look! Hopefully you'll check out my other items. I'm a long term picker who has specialized in antiques and collectibles for over 20 years and look for something a little different, hence the name. I've been a warehouse and restaurant manager so understand how to pack for success and give good customer service. Feel free to look at my feedback page. I do work full time, hence the three day shipping allowance, but I do try to get them out the next day when possible. It also makes me sometimes slower than I'd like answering questions or putting on new items, but I will get back to you as soon as I can and try not to be lazy about getting listings on. Thanks for looking and feel free to write me with any questions or new information about my items. It sometimes gets difficult to exactly identify something and I appreciate feedback and comments from the eBay community! Have a great day and happy hunting!
