Description: Up for sale is an immaculate lot featuring both the 1944 & 1948 Detroit Tigers baseball teams. The first example of the 1944 team lists all players within the white print red felt. This banner shows no signs of pinning or discoloration over the past 79 years. Measuring 28.5” across from trim to tip is also possesses its original dual set of 4” tassels making this 32.5” overall. Egner’s 2013 Vintage Pennant Price Guide has this one listed as extremely rare and rightfully so as it’s only the second I’ve come across in the past decade. The second item showcases the 1948 team on black felt with gold trim and lettering. No discoloration from front to back, but does show signs of childhood use (light cracking, blunting of end point, etc).
