Description: Up for auction is a beautiful official registered parcel receipt cover from Litzmannstadt Germany to the concentration camp in Loibl Pass, Germany occupied Austria which was a sub camp of the Mauthausen concentration camp. Postmarked October 20, 1944. Very clear cancels and markings. Interesting wartime cover. Extremely rare concentration camp cover, camp only held 1,200 prisoners. It was a sub camp of the Mauthausen concentration camp complex. The camp at Loibl pass was created to build a tunnel between Austria and Yugoslavia. The camp was liberated on May 3, 1945 by partisans. The tunnel was completed in 1964 by the Austrian government. For the serious collector of Judaica and Holocaust related philately this is an exceptional item.
