Each nursery rhyme is enlivened by gorgeous illustrations by Marjorie Torrey (1891-1964). There are full-page color plates, line drawings, and smaller color illustrations on every page! Torrey was an American illustrator and writer of children's books. She also wrote two mystery novels for adults under the name, Torrey Chanslor, and published under the name, Torrey Bevans.
