Original 1950's (possibly early 1960's) Mexican reissue of the popular 1936 Universal serial starring Buster Crabbe. It was the first screen adventure for the comic strip character Flash Gordon created by Alex Raymond. Spectacular color border art pictures Flash Gordon fighting an orangopoid (a gorilla-like alien native to Mongo). The printed b&w insert photo is a nice portrait of Buster Crabbe as Flash Gordon, Jean Rogers as Dale Arden and Donald Kerr as Happy Hapgood. Great science fiction graphics with excellent eye appeal. Condition is considered VERY GOOD with mild surface/edge wear. Mild corner creasing with no tears, chips or pinholes. Colors remain extremely bold, bright and attractive. Overall, a very displayable example by most standards (see photos). A wonderful addition for the FLASH GORDON, SCI-FI and/or VINTAGE MOVIE MEMORABILIA collector.
