Description: This week I'm offering a number of old non-sport cards from various vintage sets. In the late Forties and early Fifties, Topps was just getting started, and they issued a variety of unusual sets, most of them in a relatively small size. One such set is the 1950 issue "Parade Flags of the World," a 100-card set showcasing various types of flags of the world, a subject Topps would return to several times. The cards measure 1 3/4 x 2 3/4, and sets are surprisingly tough to complete. For this reason, this issue remains a challenge for collectors. Here I have an outstanding starter lot for this set, a grouping of thirty-four different cards from the set of 100. Included are #2, 4-6, 11, 17, 21, 22, 24, 28-31, 33, 35, 37, 56, 57, 59, 60, 63-65, 69, 72, 73, 78, 83, 85, 87-89, 92 and 97. This is a low grade lot, with many showing corner wear, creases, and other forms of damage (see scans for condition). This would be a terrific addition to any collection!
