1950's Harley Davidson "Traveler" Horsehide Motorcycle Black Leather 50's Jacket

Description: This Vintage 1950s Harley Davidson "Traveler" Horsehide Black Leather Motorcycle Jacket in a Tag Size: 44. The jacket has the original front zipper and has the original Harley Davidson tag and tag size that came on the jacket. The lining was soiled (dirty & stained) so I had the original lining replaced by an expert Seamster on vintage jackets. The jacket lining was completely redone by David Sheeley Reproduction Built, he's been making custom Vintage style Monarch Leather Jacket for years and selling them on eBay thru special orders. He uses the same type materials 100% Quilted Nylon Lining backed with 5 oz. wool just like they use by Harley back in the day. Please view some of the photos showing how the lining was made next to the original lining. The jacket was completely gone thru restitch the complete zipper on the front of jacket, plus most of the other stitching on the jacket. The jacket is a great addition to any vintage collection and is perfect for wearing on a motorcycle or for casual occasion. It has a unique brand, Harley Davidson and is a great piece for anyone who loves the history of motorcycle clothing. This jacket is a must have for any collector or motorcycle enthusiast. Since restoration was done on the lining of the jacket, I've worn the jacket sparingly over the years I've owned it. I wore the jacket when I rode my 1950 Harley Davidson Hydra-glide motorcycle, since selling the bike I decided to sale the jacket to get it back on the road on a vintage motorcycle. The jacket looks the same as when I received it back from the Seamster, the Talon front zipper works perfect as does the snap on the front chest pocket and the snaps that holds the collar in position. Inside the lining has (2) inside pockets that can hold a cell phone or your gloves. My asking price is what I have in this jacket, just to do the lining and restitching on the jacket was over $600 and that was about 6 years ago. There are no odors. All structural stitch work is present and robust. The hide is in very good shape with no holes or tears or wear. The lining has no tears or wear in the main lining or inside sleeves area. You would be hard pressed to find a used condition motorcycle jacket like this one in this condition and pricing. This is a form fitting vintage Motorcycle jacket with a original tag size of 44, I usually wear a size 42 reg. modern jacket, if I put a tape around my chest, it measures 40" this jacket fits me perfect. When I'm buying a vintage motorcycle jacket, I always look for a size 44 jacket.
