Description: 1950s luscious purple taffeta party dress with very full skirt. Stuff lining and princess seams for that killer fit flare look. Beaded bodice. Zip back with matching belt. I have only seen one other like this, and it was not identical so this is a somewhat rarer style. Very beautifully made, as you'd expect from this designer piece. Condition: this was clearly well loved as I spot a few repairs done by the owner to secure the straps & replace some beading. First, this needs to be cleaned. Slight mildew smell and has faint stains on the skirt (generally hard to pick out with the color & reflectiveness of the taffeta). Missing beads in spots, and some beads have color loss. The bodice had one area of color loss that I masked with a fabric marker-not as noticeable in person. This is a fabulous piece. I am overwhelmed with projects and facing that it's never going to fit me, so passing along.
