Description: NOS Classic folding key caddys from the 1950s advertising Little's Auto Service, which was a family owned auto repair garage located in the north end of Seattle, just south of the Jackson Park golf course and west of what was at one time the Seattle Riding Academy. Little's also sold Richfield gasoline and oil products. The telephone number on the ad info printed on the inside of the caddy pegs these as no later than the mid to late 1950s when telephone numbers changed from six to seven digits. The number in the ad EMerson 9971 was changed to EMerson 2-9971 in 1958 so these predated that time and became obsolete with that change. Little's was located on the southwest corner of the intersection of 15th Ave NE and NE 135th St and operated from the 1930s into the 1980s when the Little family sold the property to developers who tore down the old garage and diverted Little Creek that ran behind the building to make way for the large Jackson Greens apartment complex that stands there today. Our family and the Little's were long time friends and my dad brought a handful of these home to give out to friends but after the phone number changed, rendering them obsolete, those that remained got shoved to the back of the closet where they lingered out of sight and forgotten for the next 66 years or so. So here's your chance to own a weird little piece of Seattle history. If you're a Seattleite and happen to remember Little's Richfield station, later Little's ARCO, all the better. Each caddy is designed to hold up to six keys. I have six of these key caddys available, two in black and 4 in brown. If you have a color preference, please let me know when you order. I typically ship within one day of payment. If payment is received before 10:00 AM Pacific time, your item will usually ship that same day. If you have any questions, please ask. I will do my best to answer as quickly as possible. Thank you
