Description: Lot of 5 cards from the 1955 season. All show signs of wear, some much heavier than others. these cards are almost 70 years old. Gene Freese #205 -According to Sportscards Pro this is most valuable of these cards. But the card has rounded corners, a big diagonal stain on the lower left corner and a small diagonal crease in the lower left-hand corner. Also that corner is a bit mushed. The back is still colorful but has a stain in the lower left corner. Chuck Stobbs #41--Never heard of Chuck Stobbs, so I looked him up. He actually pitched 15 seasons and won 107 games. His card is probably the best in the bunch with a clean portrait and no stains. However on closer examination there are a couple of minor "spider vein" type creases just below the Nationals logo and then one that crosses the card vertically that starts in the upper border then goes down along Chuck's left side and to the bottom of the card. It's not horrible, but its there. Back looks okay. Willie Miranda #154--Someone wrote the number 2 in the lower right corner of the card. There are two diagonal creases that start from the left side. One travels up and out the top to the right of that dot on the border. The other crosses Willie's nose then stops before it gets to the "in-action" pose. There is a dot that looks like a smudge of ink as previously noted in the upper border. back looks really good. Billy O'Dell #57--Other than a little wear on the corners and a small vertical crease that goes through the Oriole at the upper right, not a lot of problems here. No stains, no pen or pencil marks. Not too bad for a 70-year old card. Back looks really good. Charlie Silvera #188--easily worst card of the bunch. Stain all along the bottom of the card that dips down by his neck but then goes back up in the right hand corner. Old tape marks on tyhe top and the bottom. Corners show signs of wear and there is a big crease that is not easily seen on this side of the card but is better seen on the back. It goes verticlaly from the top, along Charlie's back and all the way to bottom of the card. In the back you can see the crease better as it also has paper damage in the left side and the upper right side. On left border there's a stain. More paper damage in the batting record. Not a good card.
