Probably the first A-bomb ever to be exploded within "a critically dangerous distance" of a large city and without knowledge or fanfare is this as shown above. The explosion was simulated by Warner Bros studio at their studio ranch close to Los Angeles. The familiar mushroom cloud and fireball, junior size were all part of the bomb which was made up by studio explosive experts for the picture "The Girl He Left Behind."
