Description: 9 cards from the 1957 Boston red Sox. Don't look for Ted Wiliams because you won't find him here. What you will find is: Frank Sullivan #21--One of the best cards in the bunch. This one is very clean and well centered with fairly sharp corners and a good portrait. Borders look clean. No creases or stains. No pen or pencil marks. back looks very good. Mickey Vernon #92--No creases, stains or pen/pencil marks but there is some residue of something by Mickey's nose and in the sky above his right shoulder. May be able to be cleaned, I don't know. back is good. Jim Piersall #75--Nicely centered card but has plenty of signs of wear on the corners and in the portrait. It appears somebody wrote a name or something on Jimmy's forehead and then tried to erase it but you can see the indentation and the erasure. Crease in lower right corner and much smaller one in upper right. Back seems to have dirt by his name and at bottom border. Haywood Sullivan #336--No stains or creases but somebody had to write the number 2 on the lower left border in pencil, Lower left corner a bit damaged. Some dirt on right border. No creases, tears or stains. back is good. Frank Malzone #355--Someone just had to write a 2 in pencil on Frank's forehead, didn't they? Corners all show signs of wear, worst in upper right and lower left. No stains or other major creases, Pretty well centered. back looks good. Dean Stone #381--Well centered with good though not sharp corners. No creases or stains or pen/pencil marks. What looks like a mark over his left eye is a birthmark of some sort and can be seen on other copies of this card. back is unremarkable. Tom Brewer #112--There's a Y shaped crease in the lower left corner of this well centered card. Signs of wear on the corners but no tears, stains or pen/pencil marks. back is good except for the previously noted corner damage. Pete Daley#388-- Good corners, nice portrait, no creases, folds or tears. It looks like there are three dots under his left arm but I have two other Daleys not centered as well as this one that also have the same three dots in the same place, so I guess it must be a manufacturing error. There is a tiny line on the back going from Hits to Triples but otherwise back is okay. Norm Zauchin #372--One of the best cards in the bunch. Well centered with sharp corners and a good clean and clear portrait. No tears, stains, creases or stupid pen/pencil marks. There is a tiny dent in the upper right corner but that's it. Back looks new.
