Special wheel covers and side moulding, plus the Futura name on the rear quarter, distinguishes the exterior of this luxury sedan which in 1961 accounted for one in five of all Falcon sales. The Futura has been dubbed the "compact cousin to the Thunderbird." The interior (bottom) of the Falcon Futura is distinguished by bucket seats in the front, separated by a Thunderbird-type functional console containing a personal effects compartment. The individual front seats are padded, contoured and cushioned in foam rubber. Each seat adjusts individually and folds forward to accommodate entry into the rear.
