Description: This is a neat 1965 Hofner 500/1 Violin Bass aka the “Beatle” Bass. It’s got a Hollow-body for that acoustic tonality. Its Dark Sunburst finish is rich & clean other than a thumb print where its 1st owner played into its finish above the lead pickup. Its 2 Staple pole pickups sound great having the newer style post-1964 pickup surrounds. It’s got the large Gold raised logo and larger Pearloid control panel. Its original white mutha-a-toilet Pickguard fits perfectly & matches the control plate. Fantastic warm and powerful tonality on a featherweight easy to live with example. She’s getting a neck reset as we speak & will play great. She’s excellent & truly a beauty & has very little fade nor any major wear. Comes in its rare & worn original hard case.
