We DO NOT manufacture parts that are lighter weight or less quality than the original parts. Are parts are made for custom builds and high-quality restorations. When we designed this item, we even improved upon the original part by increasing the length of the installation screws and allowing you to slide them for easier install if your car has had any body work. This trim piece does not have the holes in it like you will find in the oem 1967 part as most people change over to the 68 style as the snaps in the 67 are not always user friendly, or you can install the holes and snaps with the proper drill and experience.
