Description: Note: Please study the images carefully to determine the condition of this vintage photograph, as it may not be in perfect condition. It may contain wrinkles, cracks, and possibly even tears due to its age and how it was handled before it got to us. A scanner may interpret colors and contrast differently than human eyes will, so it is possible that the actual photograph may be slightly darker or lighter in person. This vintage photograph is offered for sale as a collectible item and conveys no transfer of copyright. 1968 Press Photo Editors work on the DIXIE Roto's seventh annual brides' issue This is an original press photo. Betsy Petersen, art director Alex Imphang, Ida D. Jeffries discuss brides. "To see her is a picture, To hear her is a tune, To know her an intemperance As innocent as June." Emily Dickinson's lines are a fitting description of any bride, and an appropriate beginning for DIXIE Roto's seventh annual brides' issue. Out cover girl is Miss Ilaine Geiger. She models for the Downtown department store where this picture was taken, and she's a bride-to-be- she'll marry John Hartman in July. Staff photographer G.E. Arnold made the cover photo; DIXIE's two girl reporters, Ida D. Jeffries and Betsy Petersen, wrote most of the stories in this issue. Photo measures 10 x 8.25 inches. Photo is dated 03-24-1968.
