Description: 1969 Muncie M22 4 Speed Transmission, original M22, early 69' model year assembled in September of 68' which precedes the C coding that started later in the year, no VIN case that is ideal for a restoration, this unit has been fully remanufactured and has an original set of GM M22 Gears so this unit will have the classic M22 whine, 1st gear ratio is 2.20:1, 2nd and 3rd gears are new Antonio Masiero exact replacements from Italy, the aluminum is exceptionally nice, the case was blueprinted and received a front cluster pin bushing to ensure proper interference fit, new small parts, bearings, cluster pin and full synchronizer rebuild, note the side cover has unusual numbers (GM engineering numbers) and is a sand casting - it’s a GM prototype (factory experimental) piece for the soon to come transmission control switch, I was always told that the prototype pieces were to be destroyed after development but some got lost on the loading dock or were found along the road so who knows the story of this piece but you will probably never see another like it, everything was professionally prepared and carefully assembled, thank you for looking and please message me with any questions.
