Description: For your consideration today is a great 1974 Hess Toy Tanker Truck in Original Box for sale. For the serious Hess collector, this truck is certainly a 1974 because the catwalk extends to the end of the tanker. Overall the truck is in excellent condition. There are no missing pieces on the truck - everything is intact, original and in great shape! The chrome pieces on the cab are all in excellent shape without any tarnishing. The decals on the cab and along the trailer are in great condition as well with only minimal signs of chipping and wear. There are also a few light marks/dirt on the white strip of the tanker but nothing worth mentioning. Overall the truck presents very nicely and is in excellent shape! The battery cover has both round trailer feet intact, the rubber hose is still soft and malleable, and all wheels roll freely with minimal squeaking. Please view all photos for full details. The battery compartment is free of any corrosion and all four lights are shining brightly as pictured. It does take a bit of playing with the on/off switch to get the lights to come on and stay on. The original box is included in this auction in great shape with some flaws. The box top is rough on a few of the corners and edges, especially on the bottom left corner of the front flap. The front flap has a little writing in marker on it. There is a clear piece of tape on one side of the box, as well as one small puncture along the top. The box bottom has one or two small punctures and is a little discolored. Despite its issues, the box is very sturdy and presentable! Please view all photos for full box details.
