1974 Vintage Bulova 7605 Heuer Leonidas Chronograph 1163 Viceroy

Description: Here is a magnificent Bulova reference 7605 micro rotor chronomatic chronograph with the original bracelet and period correct presentation case. If you're familiar with the Heuer Leonidas 1163 Viceroy Autavia watches of the 1970's this effectively is one. Bulova rebranded these watches by etching the Heuer Leonidas marking from inside the case case, adding their name to the dial and chronomatic movement as well as placing their name on the dial. They also added their own reference number (7605) to the inside case back and stamped their own serial number to the outside caseback. Original Heuer serial number and reference number (1163V) is stamped between the lugs. I've documented about 600 of these watches with serial numbers past the last known Viceroy release in addition to several hundred more past the known Bulova serial numbers that are personalized to Union Carbide employees. The 17 jewel Bulova 14EHAD is, I believe, a Heuer Cal 15 based on the Hamilton Heuer Buren Chronomatic automatic winding chronograph of the late 1960's, Tag Heuer still uses a variant in their Monaco line of chronographs.
