Description: I Purchased this motorcycle from original owner.The title is in my name. This 1976 Kawasaki KZ 900 LTD is in the 1976 LTD registry. Original paint was faded, the entire bodywork set has been repainted with the original 3 stage paint from PPG, per Ralph Pitlock's instructions, paint work done by Ravenswood Paint and Body, OEM decal set properly installed. New Front and Rear Tires - Rear Avon Cobra Chrome 150/80R16 - Front Dunlop D404F 100/90-19 Rebuilt Brakes, Front and Rear Front Air Shocks installed Mikuni 34mm Flat Slide Carburetors with custom needles and jetting with J Model intake manifolds and K&N air filters Replaced front and rear axle bearings Replaced swing arm pivot bushing bearings Replaced triple tree neck bearings New stator Original Kawasaki Lion key # 787 Brand new Kerker 4 into 1 header New battery Dyna 3 electronic ignition New grips New oil pump with swing gate in pan New Fork Seals and air shock caps installed Upgraded 8mm exhaust studs Bottom end work as follows - undercut transmission - welded crankshaft - heavy duty clutch kit with rebuilt clutch basket - heavy duty clutch pusher bearing - heavy duty cam chain, new rollers and guides, new tensioner Top end work as follows - 1015cc Wiseco Piston kit still using original 903cc block - stage 1 ported and polished head - all new valve guides .003 over - all new stock valves, valve seats and valves machined - 10.5:1 compression ratio as cc'd, squish rate .050 - heavy duty valve springs and seals - new Cam Motion Z2 intake and exhaust cams. Both cams are 385 lift, 258 duration with a 110 lobe center. Intake cam degreed at 108, exhaust cam degreed at 109 - valve to valve clearance .060 - New rubber idler dampeners - new spacer block kit Inside of tank professionally recoated, like new Original right and left hand side covers with OEM tool kit Original seat in excellent condition Custom rear passenger floor pegs This bike has never been laid down and is in phenomenal condition and the photos do not do the bike justice, the paint is AMAZING!!. This motorcycle runs and rides unbelievably nice and is very quick, Idles perfect and sounds awesome when riding. This entire build has less than 700 miles since completion. When I purchased the bike from the original owner, it still ran fine with 103,000 miles showing on the odometer but the bike was starting to smoke. This is a very rare, 1 of 5000 KZ 900 LTD and was made at the Lincoln Nebraska plant and when purchased, Kawasaki gave the original owner a small metal tag with his name (see photo's)commemorating his purchase. I have all of the original paperwork, sales invoice, owners manual, repair manual with detailed hand written service notes since new. I can easily say this is one of the best running 1976 KZ 900's LTD in the world.
