Description: I simply adore the 1976 complete series of stamps, and some of the best are represented in the 21 13¢ stamps included here, namely the Spirit of '76 trio (Scott #1629-1631), the Signing of the Declaration of Independence strip of 4 (Scott #1691-1694) and the single tribute to Benjamin Franklin, first Postmaster General of the US (Scott #1690). Only one of the 50 Bicentennial State flags is included in this set, though, and the 1976 Bicentennial Souvenir Sheets are absent, so you'll need to order those separately to ensure a truly complete 1976 commemorative set. I still recall pasting the winter pastime Currier and Ives Christmas stamps (Scott #1702 & 1703) on holiday cards like it was yesterday!
