For anyone interested in fashion, the place to be Saturday night was the Overture to the Cultural Season Maison Blanche annual benefit for the 25 members of the Overture organization. Formerly called the Rex Award show (because one or more designers were honored) and held at the Theatre of the Performing Arts for the past several years, this year's gala changed location and agenda.. much to the liking of well-heeled attendees. The $40-per-hear extravaganza was held in the Imperial Ballroom of the Fairmont Hotel and was built around an evening that included cocktails, a gourmet dinner, the fashion show and dancing.
