Description: Up for sale, a 1980 Greco Super Real model EGF1000 in excellent condition and in perfect working order. Heralding the from the most collectable (and brief) era of Greco production and the pinnacle of Fujigen design, the EGF1000 was one of the highest-tiered Super Real models, faithfully capturing the finer points of a circa 1959 Les Paul Standard, featuring a one-piece mahogany neck, Brazilian rosewood fingerboard, carved maple top with a bookmatched two-piece flame maple veneer, and a nitro lacquer Cherry Sunburst finish. At 9lbs 8oz, this Greco dishes out plenty of natural sustain and sonic authority, qualities faithfully captured by the pair of USA-made DiMarzio PAF humbuckers (one original, one replacement). These pickups are rich and articulate, with growl and power in the bridge position, balanced by a present, smooth neck pickup. For saturated lead lines that truly sing while being equal parts thick and clear, the neck position humbucker roars, and when both pickups are engaged there's an array of great rhythm tones. This EGF1000 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation. The neck profile retains its smooth gloss, with a couple shallow marks that have no impact on playability. A faux leather padded gigbag is included.
