1983 Ibanez Roadstar II RS315 MIJ w/Movie Connection Used REDUCED

Boomer, ex in-the-biz guitar player I MUST let one of my best memories go. Ibanez Roadstar II RS315 Made In Japan. Bought new in ’83 by me at GC on Sunset back in'83. For an example of how this sounds go to yt and view the 83 trailer for chained heat w/LB in it. That is me finger tapping an Oberheim drum machine, TB-303 Roland Bass Line for the bow wows,TR-303 for the hi-hat rhythm and my Ibanez Roadstar II RS315 Marine Sunburst doing the nasty riff and dive bombs galore. That’s me on THIS guitar all over that trailer with my bud the engineer back in the glen glenn days playing an exact clone RS315 doing some sweetening - we bought them both same day. That’s the pedigree, now the data. See illustration of original ad - this is Lukather model for those that didn’t have the Lukather cheddar, essentially same finish on same basswood body w/ flamed “Marine Sunburst” maple top, black back, maple neck and board. 21 frets, 1.64”/41.7mm nut width; 2.04” at 12th fret. 25.5” scale. Fast frets, honest hard 80s player condition - lots of gigs and sessions this still has YEARS of fun in it! P'Shopped out a digit in shot of serial # for safety. This was NOT a case queen until it was after about 4 years of all kinds 80s use, not the least recordings. Dings lovingly placed - tried to make the pics look WORSE to assuage fears lol. See my reviews -I don't want to waste anyone's time and I want to stay 100% rating. Maple neck & board is ding free pristine though.The boops thru the finish are on blk. back/edge; just few minor impression dents on front as well as a scratch by tailpiece (see "what" pic) The worst is on the back edge shots. Neck, headstock, intonation Excellent. Again I’m trying to be brutal here - in reality 6 feet away it looks like a gorgeous blue flame hot rod with one pup and 2 knobs - 1 too many knobs if u ask me, lol. It plays easy with low action; can dive bomb like mad with ORIGINAL trem bar, (Ibanez intro’d the new Hard Rocker tremelo) w/o hurting your feelings. After the 80s it was basically stored here in Hollywood vault with other old goodies. It’s just a HOT ROD from the 80s Sunset Blvd Hairband era - a true veteran of Strip Wars. Case is ORIGINAL in “good” shape for 41 yr old tweed - not quite as bulletproof as 41 yrs ago with stains on outside that happened in storage - no water damage just weird moisture stain!! Inside is immaculate with original Warranty hang tag card made out but not sent in! Will include a couple Allens for the bridge/string height saddles and the truss rod - it’s never needed a truss adj. and doesn’t now. No key for case but I may find them before this sells. Bonus always incl. in pkg. lol d:D
