Silicone ironing board covers resist the stamping process. If your cover is silicone, place a piece of material between the fabric and the ironing board cover.2. Using the small "test" emblem on this pattern, transfer onto a piece of scrap fabric to see how long it will take to obtain a sharp transfer. The shorter the transfer time, the more times the design may be reused. For best results, always preheat your fabric for a few seconds before positioning the transfer. If you are using a very dark fabric, you can iron on a piece of interfacing to the fabric to provide a light background for your pattern.3. Cut out the pattern, leaving as wide a margin as possible. To prevent the design from shifting during the ironing process, we suggest you pin in place. Remember that you will be ironing the design on the back side (reverse) of the fabric.4. Place the preheated iron on the pattern for the length of time earlier determined by the test. If it is necessary to move the iron, LIFT and move to a new position rather than sliding it to avoid possible shifting of the pattern paper. Lift a corner of the pattern to be certain that the transfer is satisfactory. If not, repeat the process.
