1990 Ford Mustang LX

Description: The time has come to sell my 1990 Ford Mustang LX 5.0 hatchback. This car spent most of its life in California until being shipped to the East Coast in 2019. I purchased this car in 2020 and am the second registered owner listed on the Carfax report. This is the cleanest foxbody Mustang that I have seen underneath and it is evident the original owner took pride in this car. This is a low mileage example currently sitting at 80,486 miles, backed up by the history report. Original 5.0L V8 car with AOD transmission and 8.8" rear axle. This 1990 Mustang LX wears its original Dark Titanium paint, with oxidation on the hood, roof, top of rear wing, and top of the front and rear bumper covers. The oxidation looks better in the photos than it does in person. There are dings and a few minor dents around, with the largest being a golf ball size dent above the gas door. There are chips and scratches in the paint. The original owner parked the car when he was no longer able to drive it. It appears the car was parked under a pine tree for some time with sap staining/damage evident mainly on the hood/cowl area and front bumper. The car has all the original body panels with VIN stickers in place. Overall, the body is straight and presentable for a 34 year old car. The black trim on the rear bumper is fading, showing sections of the yellow plastic underneath. The hatch windows were refinished a few years ago but the paint is flaking in sections. There is some paint checking on the passenger door. This car does not have a sunroof. The windshield is in good condition with no major chips. The undercarriage is clean and straight, with zero rust. The pinch welds under the driver and passenger doors are perfectly straight. The interior features power windows and locks with the desirable black cloth sport seats. The interior is in very good to excellent condition with a functional ash tray door and original AM/FM cassette player. All interior lights work and the seats, headliner, and carpet are free of stains/funky smells. There are black carpeted floor mats in the car. Some of the items I have installed/replaced since taking ownership:-Pony wheels with new 225/55ZR16 General GMax tires-Used MAC 2.5" off-road h-pipe-New Pypes 2.5" stainless steel catback exhaust with Race Pro mufflers-New window run channel trim-New roof rail molding-New outer door belt molding-New cowl vent grille-New door lock actuators-New arm rest pads Items the car could use (not included):-Fuel level sending unit (fuel gage doesn't work, I just kept the tank topped off)-Headlights (the original set is yellowing)-The car currently has a check engine light illuminated (Emissions controls) and a flashing airbag light. I have the original set of 10-hole wheels with BF Goodrich tires and the OEM catalytic convertor H-pipe that will be included if the car sells for the BUY IT NOW price. It will be up to the buyer to arrange shipping. I have put less than 1,000 miles on the car since buying it. The car starts every time, runs great, shifts through the gears smoothly, and stops straight with a firm pedal. The worst part of the car is honestly the oxidized paint. With a paint job this would be a show worthy car. It is a clean low mileage example that is getting harder to find in this condition. I unfortunately no longer have the space or the time to bring this car up to the condition it deserves, with two other Mustangs currently in the stable. This car has regularly been featured on my Mustang social media page and was taken to the Chocolate Fox show in Hershey, PA shortly after I bought it.
