This is a 1st printing of the 1st edition and shows a copyright date of 1996 and was published by Doubleday. The copyright page shows a full number line (1-10), the words “First Edition”, and nothing else to indicate that this is anything other than a 1st printing of the 1st edition. The dust jacket is not price clipped and still shows the original retail price of $ 26.95 on the inside front flap. The book has 401 numbered pages. Please note: There are faint “spots” showing in the photos, at least on my computer; these are from my camera and they are not on the book or the dust jacket. I have always collected movies, ever since they became available to play at home on VHS tapes. I also love to read, so I began collecting the books that the movies in my collection were based on. This book was part of that personal collection. I recently decided to pull the movie from my collection, so I am also selling the book. The book comes with an archival plastic cover over the dust jacket for maximum protection. I do my best to describe all items as accurately as possible and to the best of my ability. Some of my photos may be somewhat lighter or darker than actual to better show detail or color. The book is in very good to excellent condition. The book itself shows some light signs of use or wear the corners and the edges of the cover, has some minor soiling to the edges of the text block, some bumps to the bottom edge of the spine, some fading to the cloth binding at the spine, and some marks to the back cover, but I think these are from the making of the book. It also has a couple of small indentations to the rear cover. The dust jacket has no chips or tears, but does have some edge wear and shows some light signs of shelf wear. The dust jacket also has a faint crease vertically down the center of the spine, and one extremely tiny loss to the printed area at top of the back flap fold. The book is not ex-library, not a book club edition, and is not price clipped. It is tightly bound, has no lean, no noticeable fading to the dust jacket and does not have any offensive smell or odor. There are no tears to any pages and none are dog-eared. There are no markings or stains of any kind inside or outside the book. Please keep in mind these photos may be blown up at least 8-10 times normal, so anything you see will look 8-10 times larger in the photos than it really is. Please note: if you see a dark spot in the photos, it is from my camera and is not a mark on the piece.
