Description: This auction includes two rollers with mounting screws. This will repair the "scissors" type regulator please confirm the regulator in your vehicle is the scissors type and not the cable type. This part is a simple and inexpensive way of repairing the regulator by just replacing the broken roller(s). If you have tried to buy them you know the rollers aren't available from Dodge, you have to buy the entire regulator which is expensive, if you buy a used one it's just a matter of time before one of the rollers breaks. I sell a lot of these for Jeep Grand Cherokee and it's the same roller for the Dakota. I have basic instructions but I don't have detailed instructions for the Dakota like I do for the Jeep. The factory roller is riveted to the regulator and rides in a track. You need to grind off or drill out the rivet that holds the factory roller to the regulator. The track that the roller rides in is crimped at the end it needs to be bent open slightly to slide the new roller in. The new roller is then screwed to the regulator where the original equipment roller was riveted. I can give you the instructions for the Jeep which should give you an idea of what is involved. If you would like instructions before bidding please ask.
