Each 2-piece lamp is composed of a clear glass base measuring 5-1/2" in diameter having a raised, rounded edge. In the center of the base is a molded indentation approximately 1/2- 5/8 inches deep where a tapered candle can be inserted. The clear glass shade (which fits securely in a recessed ring on the base) is 9-7/8" tall, with a 4-1/4" diameter rim and base, and is decorated with boughs of green fir tied with scarlet ribbons. Although these lamps have no maker's mark, their retail cartons state that they were made in the U.S.A. and originally sold back in 1997. An estate sale find, these 2 hurricane lamps are in outstanding condition, crystal clear, with no nicks, chips, cracks, or scratches, their holiday decals brightly colored and unmarred.
