Description: 20 Approx. 7/8-Inch-Wide Southern CA Pacific Coast Sand Dollar Seashells These shells were humanely and personally hand-gathered from dead sand dollars that washed up on the shoreline in southern California, mainly during very low tides. They have been rinsed several times in plain water and set in the sun to dry and whiten. A couple of these shells may also have been bleach-processed to whiten them further. They are mainly a white / ivory / tan color, and some may have darker grey, greenish, or orange areas. They have been individually inspected and include only those with very minor or no chips along the edges and no cracks but may have some marks on the back or the front of the shell from where a barnacle was attached at one point. Some of the shells may also have an uneven spot around their edge, but they were naturally formed that way. The photographs show both sides of the shells and these are similar to the shells you will receive. They measure approximately 7/8 inch at their widest point and are perfect for crafts or adding a coastal or tropical look and feel to your home decor, a beach-themed wedding, or nautical-themed gathering. These shells are fragile; I will include a few extra and they will be double-boxed, packed with care and shipped via USPS Ground Advantage. They come from a smoke-free environment and may continue to expel some sand, even after being rinsed and shaken several times.Note: These items are described and photographed as accurately as possible, but please message me with any questions you may have.
