If the video won't play on your device, copy and paste this link into your device's browser: https://youtu.be/ApZ2iJihlRw For your consideration and immense pleasure, a NO LONGER MADE 20” SABIAN HH ROCK RIDE CYMBAL in GOOD, USED CONDITION! Produced from 1988 to who knows when Sabian lost their collective mind and ceased production because there are just not enough AA Medium Rides in the world to date, this hand hammered cymbal's condition would be described as used, enjoyed and cared for but not in immaculate condition. There are no cracks or keyholing but the edge has a few nicks and flea bites and this cymbal does have a sight keyhole. The ink is still somewhat present with the "HH Rock Ride" ink being almost fully faded. This cymbal has signs of use such as fingerprints, stick marks, staining and tarnish. You could clean it, if that's your thing, but I would let the acquired patina stick around and do its thing! As for sound, this cymbal has a very musical sound with pinpoint definition, featuring a traditional hand hammering which creates a dark, complex and highly personalized tone. Uniquely dark, this cymbal has more weight to it than the typical HH ride cymbal, which contributes to a higher pitch even though it is hand hammered making for a one of kind sound. Boasting a higher profile and larger bell than its HH counterparts, this cymbal, as a result, has more volume and power than your usual HH 20" ride cymbal. The bell possesses a strong, cutting ping which cuts through the mix nicely but forcibly. Given all of its attributes, this is a great cymbal in the recording studio as well. If you haven't, check out the video at the top of this listing. This is a great cymbal for the drummer who finds himself in many different musical situations. Sabian describes this cymbal as "Powerful high-end cut and warm tone combine with a bright bell, for a loud, penetrating ride with character." This cymbal weighs a healthy 2773 grams.
