Description: FOR SALE: Listing UPDATE: Now in the photos is the documentation for all of the dealer service I had done this summer (all within the last few months) I've decided to sell my 2005 XLR. I'm Cadillac and GM collector and wanted to add an XLR to my collection to accompany my Allante. I purchased the car this Spring and shipped it to Milwaukee from Fort Myers. I bought the car from a wholesale lot as I wanted one that needed a little love; in an effort to keep one more on the road and also, not over invest in something I didn't love. After all, there were zero for sale in the state of Wisconsin when I was looking, so, I didn't have many options. I bought the car sight unseen. It arrived here and I immediately took it to my dealership for an inspection and thorough go-through. I have $9,500 in receipts from a dealership that addressed all of the neglected maintenance and repairs. I was shocked: nothing bad! It was all "stuff" that cars need, but it adds up. I did do the carfax on it, so I knew it was a car that was generally maintained and driven - which was appealing to me. The service repairs I did are: Power Top pump motor and assembly rebuilt and installed. Oil distribution plate and gaskets, scraper plate, oil pan gasket, RTVNew tires 4-wheel alignment rear compartment support struts Battery Right taillamp rebuilt and LED strips working properly Oil filter adapter housing gasket and sealsWater pump and gasket Thermostat housing sealsleft cam cover gasket and all four spark plug opening seals and 1 RTVFob programmed properly DIC and driver options properly restored with system update What the car still needs: The Catalytic converters will need replaced. My dealership referred me to local muffler and exhaust shops that can cut the existing ones out and replace with brand new ones. This is what is recommended as OEM replacements are non existent and aftermarkets are - The power top works, however, one of the mini actuators on the drivers side is struggling. I bought this car thinking I needed one in my collection. Then just last week, I rescued another dog to join our family (we now have two dogs) and I just don't see this car being a "need" at the moment. I'd rather focus my energy on my family and dogs. Especially since Wisconsin Winter is coming and I won't drive this until June, maybe May. So, why let my $10K in repairs sit in a storage facility when someone can enjoy the car now? Yes, I have all of the receipts from the service done at the dealership and I can share those documents. Please, ask questions. I've purchased many vehicles on ebay and sold a few. I can take videos of the car running, etc. I'm happy to do that. Ask away! Thanks for looking. I am still driving it daily as the weather is nice so far - it makes for a great ride to work and an even better one on the way home! Paypal accepted. No warranty expressed or implied. Shipping is responsibility of purchaser. I'm happy to help coordinate with a shipper - no problem!
