Description: The original photo was taken January 30, 1960 by Yousuf Karsh in the Chicago studio of Hedrich Blessing. Signed 'Ed Hillary'. The 8 x 10 photograph is double matted (7.5 x 9.5 opening) and presented in a 14 x 17 frame. Note that this is not an original from the 1960 sitting. It is a glossy copy made in 2005 expressly for signature by Hillary who was visiting the mountaineering shop in Colorado that subsequently offered it for sale. It is printed on Fujicolor Crystal Archive paper. It is slightly cropped from the original 1960 Karsh published portrait. I do not know how many copies were made and signed. Excellent condition.
