Description: Theatrical 2009 sword used in the only filmed and documented American event over three days before over 5,000 people commemorating the 2000 the anniversary of the Publius Quinctilius Varus loss of three Roman legions to Arminius in the Teutoburg forest. This is Hero film prop sword used by Varus in the documentary for this event used to fight the German tribes (Germanic Cherusci) and to end his life with it as was done in 9 AD. The prop sword is mostly wood with some cold cast parts. The sword is mine as I played the part of Varus for this event in 2009.
