So, only a very small percentage of these coins qualify for this designation. The 2018-W Proof Palladium Eagle was only available for sale for about 6 minutes before it was no longer available! This coin marks only the second time there has been a U.S. coin struck in palladium, and the first time there has been a proof palladium coin. Each coin contains one ounce of 99.95% pure palladium.
