Description: 2023 SARRACENIA SEEDS: LUNCHBOX X FLAVA WACCAMAW [CARNIVOROUS PLANT SEED] Code: 92: 23HF22 This listing includes: One pack of approximately 30 Sarracenia seeds from the following cross: Mother (pod) plant: S. ‘Lunchbox’ Father (pollen) plant: S. flava ‘Waccamaw’ Triple A quality moorei goodness! The mother plant in this cross is S. ‘Lunchbox’. This plant produces a crop of pitchers in the spring and another in the fall. The fall pitchers are especially colorful and eye catching. It has ‘Leah Wilkerson’ in its genes. The father plant is the popular flava ‘Waccamaw’ which is an atropurpurea. ‘Waccamaw’ turns cherry red and retains a yellow mouth for most of the season, making it an attractive cultivar. The resulting offspring will likely look like flava dominant moorei. A great cross from two amazing cultivars! 1st picture shows the two parent plants. 2nd picture shows the mother (pod) parent. 3rd picture shows the father (pollen) parent. 4th picture shows an example of the seeds you will get (not the quantity). 5th picture shows an example of how I bag my Sarracenia flowers in the spring. This cross was made in the Spring of 2023 and the seeds were harvested in Fall of 2023. The cross was done carefully by hand. All manual crosses had bagged flowers to avoid any unwanted pollen contamination by nature. After harvest and drying in the Fall, the seeds have been stored dry in the fridge to maximize longevity and viability. I have been growing Sarracenia for 15 years and my goal is to make quality seeds and plants affordable to anyone that is interested in growing these amazing plants.
