I can provide additional pictures upon request. Offered for sale is #2055, Weiss beer bottle from Louis Pabst, a Caton and then Fells Point Weiss beer brewer. Pabst most likely did not start using these incised stoneware vessel until after his move to 840 Bond St. in Fells Point where he and family living and produced and bottled the Weiss beer in the rear of the location as noted in the 1890 map attached. This example has the short lip treatment where a cork and wire would have been used to secure the beverage inside. There are 2 rough areas on the top of the lip as noted in the pics. Embossed as:L.
