China head Dolls of this hair style date from late 19th century. Large Doll has cotton body and a well made array of period clothing including a a cotton dress and undergarments. Doll has a lovely painted face with blush on her cheeks, closed mouth, painted brows and blue eyes and ears faintly showing. Doll has porcelain hands with detailed fingers and porcelain boots. I find no cracks, chips or missing fingers. I find the number 7 faintly incised on base of china Head. I find no other marks. Doll is sewn tightly into her clothing so I did not remove it. Soft body that seems to be in good condition, without tears or leaking fill, is under the clothing. Clothing is age toned and has some spotting but is intact with rips or tears. There is a lot of hand stitching visible in these garments. Please view my photos for condition, details, features and contents of this doll.
