Maximum angle of view at f/22 is 85 degrees.The lens offers modest room for movements. I have used this lens for contact printing 8x10 negatives with great success.Unlike current high-contrast modern coated wide-angle lenses, this lens is capable of producing the most subtle of tonal variations. It also has a beautiful “fall-off” quality which naturally creates an extremely subtle vignette that “contains” the image without being an obvious feature.For these reasons I will frequently reach for this particular lens. Optically and Mechanically sound. Works as intended.Please note that the thin uniform ring visible at the lens edge is due to a slight fading of the edge blacking used by Schneider. This is characteristic of Schneider’s manufacturing process at the time and does not affect image quality. Copal No. 3 shutter operates smoothly. Speeds appear accurate.
