The set was made at the legendary Imperial Porcelain Factory, which was opened in the second half of the 18th century, in accordance with the old production methods of the company. The set is decorated manually, using the overglaze technique. This is famous Russian Lomonosov Gold Cobalt Net pattern, also known as the Catherine the Great pattern. These beautiful pieces are decorated with the Gold Cobalt Net design that originated in Russian two centuries ago when it was first made for the Czar's Winter Palace in St. Petersburg. It is unique for its deep blue color accented with gold where each Blue Net line intersects.The decoration of Cobalt Net, inspired by the service from Elizabeth's period, fitted harmoniously into the delicate tulip shape and produced a wonderfully noble, classically beautiful whole. This service was to become the Lomonosov factory's most recognised pattern, its visiting card.The pattern was designed by A. Yatskevich. Tulip shape, designed by S.Yakovleva. The saucer is 15 cm (6 ") in diameter and cup is 7.5 cm (3") tall (250ml). The plate is 7 inch. in diameter. It has a Lomonosov Porcelain Factory (LFZ) logo on the bottoms.
