Description: KOREAN SHISO HERD SEEDS (PERILLA), RAU MÈ HÀN QUỐC, 들깨 깻잎, 朝鮮紫蘇 シソ | SUPER EASY TO GROW | 85% GERMINATION (TESTED)(1 bag includes 250+ seeds)Culinary TipsPerilla has a wide variety of uses in Asian cuisines. Try it in your favorite sushi recipes, or wrap other foods in it before cooking. Add as a flavorful garnish to soups or mix it into a salad. It works especially well in salads when grown as a microgreen. One popular Korean recipe is kkaennip jjim, a perilla dish where the leaves are steamed and marinated. They can also be steamed and then filled with meat or anything you choose. Feel free to experiment!Germination: 1. Soak seeds into water between 100-105F, 38C-41C for 15 to 20 hours. Soaking seeds before planting helps to break down the seed's natural defenses which allows them to germinate faster.2. Take seeds out. Place seeds in clean moisten paper towel. Fold paper towel and keep it in ziploc bag and place ziploc bag in dark and warm place (75F-85F ). Make sure paper towel is always moist and spray water as needed. After 7-15 days, seeds should germinate.3. Use potting mix or seedling soil to plant seeds. . (And remember: Perilla need light to germinate, so do not cover seeds with any soil. Just keep soil moist and leave seeds on the surface, but cover it with clear food wrap. Should germinate within two weeks in warm soil (use heat mat if possible). Then cover the seeds with1/4" soil.)4. Start indoors 6 to 8 weeks before your last frost date for a spring planting, or direct sow in the late summer. Transplant seedlings outdoors after hardening off, and space plants 6 inches to a foot apart. Be sure temperatures are warm, as perilla thrives in warmer weather. Keep soil moist and fertilize as needed.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Please Check out our store for other kinds of seeds!
