Description: Make: unknown; ancientMaterial: quartz stoneLength: around 32 inches Size: varies a bit; from around 4 x 6 mm up to around 5 x 14 mm# of beads: about 165 pcs This is a unique and unusual strand of ancient neolithic stone beads from the Sahara desert of North West Africa. They are made from quartz stone. These have a very earthy inconsistent shape and cut with a wonderful primitive appearance. These are nearly all 'damaged' beads but the strand takes one a unique life of its own when strung together as it is, see pics. It is said they were made by the ancient cultures which flourished in the Sahara desert in the eons past. I would surmise that these were used as a form of 'currency.' You will receive the exact pictured set of beads. This is an excellent group of ancient tribal quartz stone beads for artist, designer, or collector and not to to be missed! Please see our other MANSA BEADS listings for a wide variety of authentic TRIBAL BEADS as well as a range of other unique items from around the globe! We are happy to combine shipping but please request an invoice before checking out.
