3.6 yards Antique BLUE fabric Portuguese gauze + silver metallic thread sheer l

Description: Welcome To The Textile Trunk ~ please follow us on instagram, we are @textiletrunk This lovely piece of antique fabric is Portuguese, from Porto and was made in the very early 1900's. I was just there on a buying trip and I found the original paper label of the company that made it, and It was lost in the shuffle of my buying trip! It most certainly dates 1910 or a bit earlier. The blue is a wonderful, natural powder blue , I also found a different colorway of pink the same fabric ( just search my store for the word Portuguese gauze and it will appear. I found it and it was wrapped around wood, when I got home I opened the parcel and realized the bolt was made up of many smaller lengths!~ So, this is one of those lengths ~ It's hand woven cotton gauze with gorgeous metallic thread ~ it would make a lovely decorative textile draped over a curtain rod, used as a scarf, curtains etc ! The possibilities are endless! MEASUREMENTS :This piece of the wonderful gauze measures approximately 132 inches long by 22 inches wide ~ CONDITION: This fabric was very dusty when I found the bolt ! ~ It can be hand washed and gently hung to dry! ~ There are spots where the gauze has uneven weave and the ends are cut! Each piece from the roll was in slightly different condition, but It was just too difficult to photograph each, so I'm using the same photographs and describing the condition of each! It's lovely but not without signs of time and use often inherent in antique fabrics! ~ All condition of each piece is reflected in the price ~ Inventory : EFF 110
