Description: 6 - 38-40 Winchester Center Fire snap caps This is for a set of 6 - 38-40 Winchester Center Fire WCF Snap Caps. These are capped with lead RN bullets. These snap caps contain no powder, or primers, but they will chamber. They cannot fire, nor can they ever be made to fire. Unlike plastic or one-piece metal snap caps, these brass snap caps look right, and won't flake off if you run them though your chamber. The brass brand used to make these snap caps is Starline. These were New commercial casings that have been chemically and mechanically cleaned, sized, then drilled out, and had the primer pocket plugged, and then a bullet seated and crimped. You can visually tell they are inert, as the primer pocket is plugged with a red poly. These work very well for display or educational uses.
